Beth Jacob Congregation of Irvine (BJI) was established in 1986 by a group of individuals committed to establishing a Modern Orthodox community in Orange County. From storefronts to bowling alleys these Jews wandered in search of a permanent home to call their own.

Today, BJI proudly stands on The Samson Family Campus in Irvine, CA. We feature an ever-growing membership of Jews from all over the United States and world. Our cultural diversity creates a unique flavor which permeates throughout our community and fosters an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect.

We are:

• Open for Prayer 365 days a year.
• Home to The Irvine Community Mikvah.
• Maintaining The Irvine Eruv.
• Building the foundations of faith in toddlers and young children at our Olam Preschool, the first Jewish Montessori in Orange County.
• Engaging our children through dynamic weekly and Shabbat programming.
• Inspiring today’s Jewish teenagers to become the Jewish leaders of tomorrow.
• Teachers, offering daily, weekly and monthly classes for adults.
• Kollel, offering opportunities to study Talmud and other rabbinic literature.
• Innovators, launching new ideas to help build a more vibrant Jewish Life in Orange County.
• Supportive, of those in need through an active Chesed Program.  
• Showcasing Shabbat by combining joyful t’filah and meaningful drashot with camaraderie at our Kiddush Luncheons and Seudah Shlishits.
• Genuine, creating an authentic and spiritually uplifting community that is accepting of all Jews, regardless of their chosen level of religious observance.

Our mission is to help people reach their full potential by building and strengthening relationships with Hashem through Torah and Mitzvot. By continually progressing within the framework of halacha, Beth Jacob of Irvine has managed to become the regional epicenter for traditional and spiritual Jewish living.
